Small Animal Vet - Cambridgeshire

Reference Number:

Great opportunity for a GP vet to join this purpose built multi-vet practice near Cambridge. Set in an excellent location in a beautiful area, yet just over an hour away by direct train to Kings Cross. The practice is air conditioned, spacious and very well equipped with digital x-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound & ECG. My client may consider a vet who wishes to work part time. This is a private practice.

My client is seeking a confident vet to join their existing team of 5. The right candidate will have around 2 or more years' UK practice experience, excellent communication skills and a caring attitude towards both clients and patients. You will be keen to maintain the highest levels of clinical work and deliver excellent service to your clients. Applicants with an interest in orthopaedics will have an advantage but this is not essential. You will be confident & experienced with routine surgery and consultations but with a desire to develop further and learn.

The practice are proud to offer their own OOH service as they believe the clients deserve to see a vet that knows their pet. The rota is 1:4 weekends, however there is a nurse onsite that monitors inpatients and the practice don't do OOH for anyone else. An average week night might involve just one or two phone calls for advice so actual call outs are kept to a minimum. Regular time off keeps a healthy work/life balance.

£1000 CPD allowance & 5 days, salary commensurate with experience, 21 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (on a rota)
